Welcome to Kirsko Film Animals. We supply, train, and wrangle any animal type for any production anywhere in the world. Let our love for animals and extensive production experience provide your animal talent requirements cost-effectively.
Kirsko Film Animals is directed by Kirstin Feddersen BSc(AB) who has over 30 years experience in animal training and handling for film, TV, and advertising and is one of Australia’s leading animal trainers. As well as gaining a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behaviour from The University of Sydney she has studied with some of the leading Hollywood animal trainers in the U.S. where she schooled in training and handling exotic animals.
Kirstin and her team of trainers and wranglers have extensive experience and contacts in various animal industries including breeders, zoos, farmers, vets and other professionals which they bring to bear in the supply of high level professional human crew and animal talent for film and stills productions.
Kirsko Film Animals can source, train, transport, house, husband, and handle any animal, from exotic species, native, domestic, farm, or zoo.
Understanding animal psychology and behaviour is critical to achieving the proposed action in any story treatment. A shoot can be severely affected by non-performing animal talent and inexperienced handlers. Kirsko Film Animals have you covered.
Kirsko Film Animals has supplied trained animals for a multitude of events including more than 280 TVC’s, 103 stills shoots, 39 feature films, 31 TV shows, 21 live events, 4 music videos, 3 documentaries, and 2 weddings, with many satisfied clients.
‘Kirstin was born to work with animals and lucky for them she does!
All animals love and understand her and irrespective of the time frame given for stills or film, she achieves the desired result every time.
Having worked with Kirstin many, many times with a range of animals over the past 20 years I can see how her talent combined with her love and respect for all creatures great and small makes her absolutely the best in the business'.
Katy Young - Senior Stills and Film Producer
‘Kirstin and her team from Kirsko have worked with me on many and varied projects for over a decade. Whether it be Korean village animals for the Northern Korean village on Stealth, to the Tasmanian whimsical washing-eating goat for Goddess, to the raggedy mutt from a 2030 Santa Monica slum for Pacific Rim Uprising. Kirstin’s animal casting and training always hits the spot’.
